TPRI Test Next Week

Parents and Readers of this blog:

The TPRI test will be given out over the next two weeks. The TPRI (Texas Primary Reading Inventory) summarizes how your child has progressed from the beginning of the school year in reading.
More info: What is the TPRI?

The test is given 3 times a year;  BOY, MOY, and EOY : Beginning Of the Year, Middle and End....

Primarily our students goal is to spell accurately,  read fluently at 90 wpm, and comprehend what she or he has just read.

Parents:  Now is the time to practice your child in reading aloud to you.  Read anything, (comics, library books, textbooks, story books etc. Don't worry about the time, but have them read steadily.  I believe with your help and with me having them read everything ( all their subjects, instructions and practice during our reading time), we can expect improved scores from the beginning of the year..

Thanks parents for all you do,

Mr. Fierros
