Primary and Secondary Reference

Primary and Secondary Reference

Our students are going to ask a few questions about the past.
You can recall the”old” days and tell your child a favorite story, or how things used to be, how much things cost..etc..etc.

Your child’s grade will be based on the following:

  • A- Paragraph about his/her story,
  •     artifacts (pictures, souvenirs, etc)
  •     and a presentation to the class.
B- Any two of the above
C- One of the above
D- any number of the above, done poorly, incomplete.
F: not done

Please, have fun with this, It is not a “major report”, just an assignment grade.

Mr. Fierros

Primary Reference:  an actual person, artifact, diary, journal, letter from the past.

Secondary Reference:  biography, a story passed on from generation to generation, encyclopedia, wikipedia..

Fiesta Shoebox Parade April 21

Fiesta Shoe Box Parade

Image result for Fiesta Shoebox parade

Dear Parents,
We will be having our Fiesta Shoebox Float Parade on  April 21 at 2:20..
Children are encouraged to decorate a shoebox or a hat using items they find at home such as tissue paper, small toys, glitter, stickers, etc. In addition, we will be serving fruit cups in our classroom before our “float parade”.  Since it will be held on the jogging track, please build your float with wheels and pull string so it can roll without tearing up the float.

We are asking for donations for the following items; please check 2 items and return:

______Sliced Pineapple                                ______Sliced Watermelon
______Seedless Grapes                                 ______Sliced Melon
______Sliced Cucumbers                          ______Sliced Strawberries
______ Plastic Cups and forks

Please do not send whole fruit as I will not have time to cut all the fruit.
Thanks,
Mr. Fierros
