First Day Routines:

Parents,

On the first day of school I like to establish our routines with our students.
Routines are important since it allows students and teacher the time to get ready for instruction with little distraction.
Our routines look like this:

7:55  come up to classroom
8:00 unpack
8:05 back pack tree
8:10 pencil sharpened
8:15 announcements, pledge, etc.
8:20 Homework check:
8:25 Class begins

30 minutes sound like a lot to get started but once the routines are in place, time will be cut in half because the kids will know and expect what to do.

Now the downside is our computers at school really did not want to cooperate today.  I could not print out the homework sheets or access most of my programs to begin showing your students the changes in curriculum they will be having to do this year.
So tomorrow, your child will have their homework folder, PBIS behavior chart and homework page....
