Multiplication, Fluency, Homework, and Supplies
Unit 13 Multiplication
This week the students will be introduced to the concept of repeat addition also known as multiplication.
for example:
2+2+2= 6
3 groups X 2 in each = 6 in all
I have started very slowly with multiplication tables. Please take your time with this!!!
I suggest only a table a week, stopping at the 5 fives....Summer time will be good for the rest....
Fluency
Parents, continue having your child read aloud to you. Fluency is the words a child read per minute. Our goal is 90 words per minute. I have included questions that are very close to the same questions that your child will be tested on. Please review these questions after your child has read the selection of the day. This will help with comprehension (understanding what your child is reading)
Supplies
Some students are lacking pencils, erasers, and colors....please check with your child and see if you need to replace anything
